COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
1.1. When You Register
1.2. When You Browse the Site
Like most standard website servers, we use and maintain the information that we obtain from your browser on our server logs. This information can include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), and other data. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may associate this information with your Personal Information to resolve technical issues and support security for our Users.
A web beacon (also known as a clear gif) is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier that is placed on a web page or within an email. It is similar in function to a cookie, and is used to collect a limited set of information, such as a cookie number, time and date of page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides. YouJustGetMe.com and its third party advertisers may use web beacons to compile aggregate statistics about which advertisements and promotions Users have seen and how Users responded to them. This information helps us better manage content on the Site by informing us what content is effective. In addition, we may use web beacons in our promotional email messages to count how many messages and which emails have been opened and acted upon. This use allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and our marketing campaigns. YouJustGetMe.com does associate web beacons to individual Member personal information for internal purposes only, in an effort to understand our Member's individual preferences with our email products.
1.3. When You Build a Personal Profile
1.4. When You Use the Message Center
For registered Members, we have developed a Message Center that uses a "double-blind" messaging system, which hides the personal email addresses given during registration to protect the privacy of both the sender and receiver. You may prevent another Member from sending future messages to you via the Message Center by clicking "Block" next to him or her user name while viewing a message. If you block another Member, you will also no longer be able to send messages to him or her.
1.5. Invitations and Other Communications to Non-Users
YouJustGetMe.com Members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. YouJustGetMe.com stores the email addresses that Members provide so that the recipient's ratings of the Member who sent the invitation may be shown to both parties, and so both parties may earn Contribution Credits for these activities, and also to send reminders of the invitations. YouJustGetMe.com does not sell or display the email addresses of those who are invited to use the Site or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and up to three (3) reminders. Recipients of invitations from YouJustGetMe.com may send an email to email@example.com with the words "removal request" in the subject line to request the removal of their information from our database or to prevent YouJustGetMe.com invitations and other messages from being sent.
1.6. When you purchase more Contribution Credits
1.7. When You Participate in Surveys
From time to time, we may request information from our Users via surveys relating to our services or on behalf of our affiliates, scientific collaborators, or third-party advertisers. When you participate in a survey, we may or may not request contact information (such as your name and email address) or demographic information (such as your zip code, age or income level). YouJustGetMe.com conducts surveys in order to target advertising and content and to better understand Users' needs and opinions. YouJustGetMe.com may share, in aggregate form, information it collects from these surveys with its advertisers, partners, affiliates and the general public, but will not share survey information containing personally identifiable information with any third party without your prior consent. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary, such that you have the choice of whether you wish to disclose the requested information. However, we encourage our Users to participate in these surveys as they provide us with important information that helps us to improve our services or services that may offered on our Site or via email by our affiliates or third-party advertisers.
1.8. When You or Third Parties Contact Us
If you contact YouJustGetMe.com by phone, email, letter, or via a form on the Site, we may keep a record of such correspondence. Additionally, if other Users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Site, we may keep the information in a file specific to you.
1.9. How We May Supplement your Personal Information
In order for us to properly fulfill our obligations to our Members, it may be necessary for us from time to time to supplement the information we receive through your use of the Site with information from third party resources. For example, we may obtain updated email address information from email-change-of-address vendors or purchase third party marketing data and address information and add it to our existing database to better target our advertising and provide pertinent offers we think you would be interested in.
